L’Oréal – UNESCO and the Czech Academy of Sciences

The L’Oréal – UNESCO For Women in Science program has been supporting talented female scientists in the Czech Republic since 2006, in collaboration with the Czech Commission for UNESCO and the Czech Academy of Sciences. It addresses the underrepresentation of women in science and strengthens their position and visibility.

To date, the program has recognized 50 scientists and awarded over CZK 11 million. The laureates receive not only financial support but also media training, networking opportunities, and a platform for public engagement — because the world needs science, and science needs women.

Since 2023, L’Oréal has also sponsored the Forbes ranking Top Women in Czech Science
